Ivan was a Foreman when he married Winifred Mary Smart (b1917 in Brisbane, QLD) - they were both working in Albion, Brisbane (Winifred was a Shop Assistant). Ivan and Winifred settled in Brisbane and Ivan was a Tanker Driver (Mobil) in 1941 when he enlisted in the ACMF.
