Add my storyBiography contributed by Sharon Hull
Les is the eldest of 7 children. At the age of 8 his family moved from SA to live in WA, firstly at Collie and then his father established a sheep farm in Darkan. Les married his neighbour Eva Wild after the first world war and they too had a property which unfortunately went broke. Les then started to fell trees and worked in numerous mills, which resulted in all their six children being born in different South West towns. He was so good at cutting down trees that he became a champion log chopper and competed in many country carnivals. He died at 50 and Eva outlived him by 42 years. They had 19 grandchildren but none were born at the time of his death.
