Admitted to 1st Australian Dermatological Hospital, Bulford, 31 July 1916; discharged, 5 August 1916; total period of treatment for venereal disease: 6 days.
Proceeded overseas to France, 16 September 1916; taken on strength, 18th Bn, in the field, 2 October 1916.
Admitted to 5th Australian Field Ambulance, 14 November 1916 (soft chancre), and transferred to 38th Casualty Clearing Station; to 1st Stationary Hospital, Rouen, 16 November 1916; to 18th General Hospital, 19 November 1916 (not yet diagnosed: venereal disease); to 51st General Hospital, Etaples, 21 November 1916; discharged to duty, 25 November 1916, and marched in to 2nd Australian Division Base Depot, Etaples.
Admitted to 26th General Hospital, Etaples, 28 November 1916 (disordered action of the heart); transferred to 6th Convalescent Depot, 5 December 1916; to 5th Convalescent Depot, 8 December 1916; discharged to duty,18 December 1916; rejoined Bn, in the field, 9 January 1917.
