James Currie McGonigal NOON was born on 4th November, 1916 at Scarborough, Wollongong, New South Wales
His parents were Charles Peter NOON & Elizabeth McGONIGAL who married in Sydney in 1910
He enlisted in Toowoomba , Queensland on 18th July, 1940 - on the Nominal Roll his last unit was listed as 2/1 Tank Attack Regiment , 3rd Battery (Lance Bombadier) - he was discharged from the Army on 6th October, 1945
He served in the Middle East from June 1941 to August 1942 and New Guinea from Nov. 1942 to October 1943
James died on 4th April 1996 and is buried in Mitchell Cemetery in Queensland
