John was born on the 10th November 1892 in Queensland. He died 2nd November 1918 at Sea near France. He is buried in the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial.
His parents were John and Frances Ann nee Long
He married Ellen Amelia nee Hinds.
He is listed on the Museum Honour Roll as Ellen was from the Pioneer family "Hinds"
