Son of Joseph and Elizabeth Parkes, of Mary St., Leichhardt. Sydney, New South Wales.

Mr. Joseph Parkes, of Etruria House, Mary street Leichhardt has been advised that his son, Lieut A. W. Parkes, has been killed in France. Lieut. Parkes left Sydney in October, 1915,  with the Field Artillery, and received a commission on the field in France some months ago. He was an official of the E.S. and A. Bank, Ltd., and was attached to the Moss Vale branch at the time of his enlistment.
