Gunner Felix L. Bloch, who was reported killed in action on 17th August, was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Bloch, of the Grand Hotel, Melbourne, late of "Katoomba," Bendigo-avenue, Elwood; and brother of Gunner H. S. Bloch, 6th Field Artillery Brigade, who has served with the A.I.F. since November, 1915. The late Gunner Felix L. Bloch was educated at Queen's College, St. Kilda, and was Electrical Engineering student, second year, at the Working Men's College. Member of the 34th Fortress Company Engineers — served at Pt. Nepean and Pt. Lonsdale eleven months; bombardier 27th reinforcements Field Artillery, sailed in November, 1917; first class signaller, Heytesbury Camp, Salisbury; and joined the 6th Field Artillery Brigade in February, 1918.
