Ronald (Ron) Frank, born in 1918 in Eastwood, NSW was the youngest of two children of Charles Webster (born 1880 in Albury, NSW) and Ellen Nunn (born 1888 in Leichardt, NSW). Charles and Ellen married in Sydney, NSW and moved in 1918 with their two sons to Townsville, QLD where Charles was a Cook.

Ron was a Clerk and living in Townsville QLD when he enlisted in the Australia Military Force in 1936, serving with 21st Heavy Battery RAA as a Private (Service No: Q111913) until Discharged in 1939. He then enlisted in Townsville, QLD in 1941 in the Citizen's Militray Force until he enlisted in the Australian Army in 1943, serving as a Private (QX47223) with 2/1 Australian Movement and Transportation Group, 101 Australian Tank Attack Regiment and HQ 29th Infantry Battalion. Ron was in Torokina, Bougainville, New Guinea from 1944 to 1945, and was Discharged in 1946.

Ron married Doris Elsie Smith (born 1919 in in Townsville, QLD) in 1940 and they lived and raised their family there. Ron continued working as a Clerk and died in Townsville in 1992
