Biography

Roy Lenton was in the Army pre WWI (1907) and served in the AIF during the Great War. He was wounded and returned to Australia, being discharged on 14 May 1918.

Despite his permanent injuries he continued in the Army upon return to Australia and served in Adelaide during WW2.

Having joined the Army in 1907 as a Private, Roy finally retired in 1949 with the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel.
