"WELCOME HOME. FUNCTION AT MOUNT CROSBY.

The school buildings and grounds at Mount Crosby were the scene of great festivity on Saturday night last, the occasion being a welcome home to several of the local boys who had been away at the front. The returned men, in honour of whom the function was organised, and who were present included, Lieut. F. Perrett, L.-Cpl. W. Craddock. M.M., Ptes. W. Mayne, R. Macdougall, F. Hutchins, A. Ferguson. "Advice has been received from Victoria Barracks that medals are being held for a number of soldiers who distinguished themselves on the battle-fields, and the committee has been asked to endeavour to arrange for their presence at to-night's function, when the District Commandant will distribute the medals. Invitations have accordingly been issued to the following winners of decorations:- Military Cross: Lieut. W. E. Richards, 26th Battalion, "Markarl," Warrill Creek, Boonah.
