Gerald Gleeson AYLIFFE was born on 27th October, 1873 in Unley, South Australia
His parents were Geoffrey Hamilton AYLIFFE & Sarah Ann GLEESON who married in Kapunda, SA on 26th February, 1864
He was a Lieutenant in the 5th South Australian Imperial Bushmen and was invalided back to Australia arriving on 23rd July, 1901
He married Agnes Marion JOHNS on 5th December, 1906 in Glenelg, SA
Gerald died on 4th November, 1948 in Kingscote, SA and is buried in the Kingscote Cemetery, Kangaroo Island
