DEATH OF BOER
WAR VETERAN
MACKSVILLE, Tuesday.
The funeral of Mr. George Frederic Carney, 76, of Scot's Head, the only Boer War veteran in the district, took place today. Mr. Carney's father, the late Mr. M. J. Carney, of Grafton, fought with the British troops at the Crimean
War and in the Indian Mutiny.
