MR. PATRICK CONSIDINE
Death removed one of the most popular publicans Longreach has known, when Mr. Patrick Considine died at his home in Jardine Street, Naughton Estate (Rockhampton) on Wednesday morning at the age of 61 years. Mr. Considine had been in bad health for some years, and he passed away in a private hospital. Deceased was born in County Clare, Ireland, and came to Queensland with his parents in 1884. He went to the Boer War as a member of the Queensland contingent, and upon his return came to work in the west. He was associated with the business side of Longreach as licensee of the Queen's Hotel and he also drew a selection near Ilfracombe, which he afterwards sold, retaining an interest in the hotel. About 14 years ago he retired to live in Rockhampton. He was unmarried.
Mr. Michael Considine, of Sydney, is a brother of the deceased. The funeral will move from St. Vincent's Church, Wandal, this afternoon at 4 o'clock for the Rockhampton Cemetery.
