Family
I am John Duff's grandson.
My Mom, his daughter, Doris Florence Daniel nee Duff, gave me an envelope containing the documents relating to his service with the Victorian Mounted Rifles, 2nd Contingent who served with the British armies in the 2nd Boer War.
According to Mom he originated from Drouin in Victoria Australia from a farming Duff family.
Following his service he remained in South Africa, married and resided in Woodstock, Cape Town.
I have been to their home which still stands today on the slopes of Table Mountain.
