Son of John and Minnie Louisa Adams of 'Ardwell', Prospect Street, Toowoomba, NSW.
Brother of Sydney James Adams aho was killed in action on the 8 August 1915 while serving with the 15 Battalion and has no known grave. His name appears on the Lone Pine Memorial Panel 44
Commemnced return to Australia on 21 Janary 1916 aboard HT Commonwealth disembarking in Brisbane on 29 February 1916
