Herbert Jermyn FARNSWORTH was born in North Melbourne, Victoria in 1873
His parents were George William FARNSWORTH &Barbara Helen MacALISTER
He maried Clara Maud Mary LINCOLN at St Kilda Presbyterian Church, Victoria in 1910
He served in the Boer War in the 2nd Queensland Mounted Infantry and returned to Australia on 3rd May, 1901 on the ship Tongariro and was discharged on 17th May, 1901
Herbert died in Sydney on 4th December, 1967 - late of Roseville & Neutral Bay & was cremated privately

His son Lincolm William FARNSWORTH served as a Lieutenant in the Royal Australian Navy during WW2 and was discharged on 28th April, 1945 (HMAS Penquin)
