William Giltrow was born on 7 Aug 1876 in the Goondiwindi area (likely Pallarang Station homestead), a son to Richard Palmer Giltrow and Frederica Giltrow (nee Strofield). He married Ethel Tyrell on 22 Mar 1905 in Queensland.
