Thomas Graham served twice in the South African (Boer) War, first as Private S.N. 84 in the 4th Queensland Imperial Bushmen return home early invalided due to Enteric Fever. He re-enlisted for his second service as a Private S.N. 600 with the 6th Queensland Imperial Bushmen. When the 6th embarked to return to Australia on 17 May 1902, newspaper report has him remaining in South Africa for further service with his eventual discharge date unknown.
