Add my storyBiography contributed by Claude McKelvey
Victor Austin Hill was born in Nove 1875 in Auckland, New Zealand, a son to Charles Viner Hill and Emma Hill (nee Walker). He is recorded in the AWM Boer War Nominal Roll, Murray p. 482 as Vutor Austin Hill but this appears to be a typographical error and is recorded as Victor Austin Hill when his photo was published in The Queenslander newspaper 19 May 1900.
Along with his name he listed his next of kin as his wife at George St, St Alban, Christchurch, New Zealand but a record of his marriage has not been found. It appears he returned to New Zealand following his war service.
