"THE ARMY MEDICAL CORPS. TO EMBARK THIS AFTERNOON. NOMINAL ROLL OF THE UNIT.
The unit of the Federal Army Medical Corps wille embark this afternoon at 3 o'clock on board the transport Manchester Merchant, which is berthed on the eastern side of Woolloomooloo Bay. The detachment will parade at the Agricultural Ground at 2 p.m., and from thence march to the wharf. Major Boam, D.A.A.G., will be the staff-officer for the parade. Details of the arrangements for embarkation were published on Friday last. A party of 50 non-commissioned officers and men of the Royal Australian Artilery will be present at the wharf to keep the space clear.
Yesterday was a very busy day in the Army Medical Corps camp. The bulk of the heavy equipment and baggage was placed on board the transport, and the afternoon was devoted to getting the balance of the gear ready for shipment. The men received their pay last evening. One Queenslander was sworn in - No. 1351- A. H. Polsen.
