Harold Jones
Harold Jones, single, c/ W. H. Jones, Marine Department (p408, "The Queenslander" 3 March 1900).
Mr W. H. (Walter Harry) Jones, of the Queensland Government Marine Department, was born in Lancashire in about 1859, and settled in Brisbane, by 1883. His brother Harold Jones, born about 1865 (also in Lancashire), at some point emigrated to Australia and at the time of enlistment for the Anglo-Boer War, nominated his address as care of his brother Walter H. Jones.
Both were the sons of Uriah Halsall Jones and Mary Ann (nee Palmer), of Lancashire - the family were living at Everton, Lancashire in the 1871 UK Census.
Harold Jones died in Redfern, Sydney, New South Wales in 1922 (NSW BDM: 5336/1922 JONES HAROLD URENTA H MARY A REDFERN)
