'MAUDE BEATTY TO BE MARRIED.

To Forsake Stage for Life on Argentine Ranch.

In a short while now Miss Maude Beatty, Mrs. Douglas of Going Up, fame, will leave Australia for Buenos Ayres. The popular actress is now, therefore making her farewell to the stage. The romance which will end in Miss Beatty's becoming Mrs. Sydney G. Kibble, began last year when Mr. Kibble and Miss Beatty travelled to Australia from America on the same boat. The bridegroom-to-be saw three and a half years' service In the war. He was one of a party which travelled to England from the Argentine and enlisted with the British forces. A breeder of pedigree cattle, it was natural that he should join up with King Edward's Horse. With that unit he was wounded severely in the leg, but has since made a successful recovery.
