Mr. W.E. Learoyd, one of the oldest residents of Liverpool, died at Manly last week, aged 85.
Mr. Learoyd was an alderman of the Liverpool district, president of the local agricultural society and returning officer for the district for many years. He served in the Sudan War under Colonel Williams, and in South Africa with Colonel French's column in the advance of Bloemfontein. During the Great War he was engaged in military duties.
