Served in Egypt with FH Smith
In the war diary of FH Smith I found the references to Frederick Goodchap. They worked together in the 2nd Light Horse Field Ambulance in Egypt and travelled together on the Borda to the Middle East conflict. In the diary on the 5/4/1916 FH Smith gives his letters to Geo Goodchap for posting.
There is a chance they new each other prior to enlisting as FH Smith worked at the railway as a telegraphic clerk and his service number is 437, he may have been behind Goodchap in the que to enlist.
