Son of John R. and Emma Balfour

Pte. M. Balfour, Bairnsdale, son of Mr and Mrs J. R. Balfour, Bairnsdale, was killed in action in France on the 22nd inst. He enlisted about two years ago, and after being engaged in camp work for some time in Victoria he went to England, and arrived in France in June last. He was a native of Bairnsdale and 29 years of age.
