When Julius Valentine Munck enlisted in 1901 in the 6th QIB and his details were published with the rank and file in The Queenslander, 13 Apr 1901, he noted his N.O.K. as W. A. Munck, Stanwell C.Q.R. He was born on 18 May 1881 in Queensland, a son to Waldemar Andrear Munck and Maria Dorothea Munck (nee Neilson). He married Florence Matilda Sarah McCabe on 21 Oct 1924 in Queensland.
