Invalided to Australia arrived 12 April 1901; died Wilmington 2 August 1902.
On the 2nd August, at Wilmington, John Randolph Stewart Payne, late trooper 154 I.B.C. South Africa, second and dearly beloved son of Randolph G. S. and Jane H. Payne, in his twenty-ninth year. He bore his long sufferings as a brave soldier. Kind friends will accept this intimation. Leeds Mercury please copy.
