Mr. Quinn, who passed away in Lithgow hospital yesterday after noon, also served in the Great War. He was one of the first to volunteer for the South African campaign, through which he served with the N.S.W. Mounted Rifles. He was bom at Molong 68 years ago, and came to Lithgow in 1931. His health in late years had not been satisfactory, and he had been in the hospital on a number of occasions. He was a man of bright disposition, and had a cheery word for everyone. The deceased is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rosaleen Quinn, of 51 Coalbrook-street, a son (Master John) and a daughter, Thelma. Mr. Peter Cook, Bridge-street, is a stepson and Mrs. Violet Davis, Inch-street, and Mrsv-Rosaleen Campbell, a Queensland resident, are stepdaughters. Interment has been arranged for tomorrow afternoon in the Catholic portion of Bowenfels cemetery.
