Biography contributed by Claude McKelvey

Albert Christopher Robins was born in 1874 at Longwood in Victoria. He would serve twice in the South African (Boer) War as noted on his enlistment papers for his second service.

He appears to have been living in Queensland in 1899 when he first enlisted serving as a Private S.N. 289 in the 3rd Queensland Mounted Infantry. On his return an discharge in 1901 he returned to live in Victoria where he enlisted a second time serving as a Private S.N. 2226 (he notes previous service in 3rd QMI) in the 4th Battalion Australian Commonwealth Horse.

Bio on OZ-Boer database notes he returned to Australia with the 4th BACH and some time later returned live in South Africa where he married Anna Brunner and passed away in 1926.
