Timms Augustus Sargood was born in 1881 at Paddington, London England, a son to Timms Knight Sargood and Maria Anna Josephine Sargood (nee Dunne). He came to Australia with his parents as a yound boy, his father dying at his home in Red Hill, Brisbane in 1895. At the time of his enlistment in 1901 he noted his N.O.K. as his mother Mrs. T. K. Sargood at Red Hill, Brisbane.

His life after the war is unclear but at some point he relocated to Canada prior to WW1. During WW1 he served with Canadian forces 7th Battalion at Vimy Ridge, France, after which he was given a commission as a Lieutenant.  He died in 1953 at Essondale, British Columbia, Canada.
