PASSED AWAY
MR. T. A. UMPHELBY
An announcement was made last week of the death of Mr. Thomas Austin Umphelby, brother of Mrs. G. L. Davis, of Sale. The late Mr. Umphelby was formerly a resident of the Rosedale district and was prominently associated with local sporting bodies, particularly the Racing Club. He raced horses locally with an average amount of success. After leaving Sale he engaged in business in Melbourne. He leaves a widow, a son and two daughters. Mrs. Umphelby (snr.) his mother, passed away in Melbourne recently at a very advanced age.
