Richard Henry Walsh served in both the South African (Boer) War and WW1. His first service was as a Lieutenant in the 3rd Queensland Mounted Infantry, Boer War. His second service was as a Major in the 9th Infantry Battalion AIF, WW1, seeing action and being wounded at Gallipoli.
