Joined a group of Norfolk islanders (J E and D Buffett, Boer War veterans and E C Robinson) who were included in the NSW Contingent to Coronation of King Edward VII in London. They arrived in Sydney on 24.4.1902 and returned on24.10.1902.

Oodoo’s son Edgar Edwin Young enlisted in WWII with Kiwis and was wounded in action. As a result he lost an arm.
