Basic details of service
1965 New Guinea, Training for Borneo . As patrol Sig our comms were all CW (morse code)
1966 With 2 Sqn to Borneo for 6 months Patrol Sig
1966 To New Guinea again with 1 Sqn prep for Vietnam
1967-1968 mid Feb embark for Vietnam with 1 Sqn for 1 year Patrol Sig
1968 New Guinea attached to Sig Sqn to make up numbers before 3 Sqn posting to Vietnam.
1969 New Guinea again with 1 Sqn patrol 2 i/c prep for 2nd tour Vietnam
1970-1971 mid Feb embark for Vietnam again as patrol 2 i/c
1971 New Guinea Training with 1 PIR Moresby area patrol commander
1974 New Guinea Recon trip before New Guinea independence.
1975 knee injury caused change to Admin Q stream
WOs courses etc - passed
Last 9 years in Regt involved work on selection courses and other activities that required admin and Q support.
