Flight Lieutenant Terrence Darrell Fitzsummons O2357 / 66716 of Number 1 Flying Training School based at Point Cook was killed in the loss of Wirraway aircraft A20-512 in Port Phillip Bay, Victoria
Also killed was trainee pilot Peter Schell A37587 who enlisted after WW2 - buried in Barmera, SA
