Doug was also known as ‘Snoopy’ during his service as a National Serviceman. He deployed to South Vietnam to join 1 ARU on 22 October 1966 until 29 November. He was transferred to Charlie Company on 30 November 1966 and served with them until he returned to Australia aboard HMAS Sydney on 12 May 1967. - Courtesy of Gary Townsend
