Keith Debenham who died of wounds in London on 4th December 1916 was the son of Mr. R. Debenham. He was born in 1894 and entered the Prep in 1903 and came to the Senior School in 1907 leaving in 1910. He went into his father's warehouse for a while, and after some time in England and France went to England on the outbreak of war and joned the Highland Light Infantry. His Battalion, the 3rd, in which he was Lieutenant, was ordered to Mesopotamia in March 1916 and in the operations for the relief of Kut-el-Amara he was severely wounded in the thigh. He was sent down to Bombay, and having spent some months in the hospital there was transferred to London for a necessary operation, which unhappily was followed by his death.
