John Archibald BELFRAGE was born in Westernport, Victoria in 1887
His parents were Andrew BELFRAGE & Rebecca TULLOCH who married on 18th May 1876 in Edinburgh, Scotland
He enlisted on 24th July, 1915 & served with the Depot Battalion in Geelong, Victoria
John died suddenly from Brights disease at the Geelong Military Camp on 16th September, 1915 and is buried in the Footscray Cemetery

His brother William Tulloch BELFRAGE also served during WW1 (SN 1312) with the 9th Light Horse Regiment and returned to Australia in 1917
