    Bill served with 5 RAR in South Vietnam with 9 Section 6 Platoon B Company on the Battalion’s 1969-70 Tour. He was involved in the Battle of Binh Ba when B Company cordoned and then searched the village of Duc Trung, on 6-7 June 1969. Bill was repatriated to Australia in August 1969 as his National Service term had elapsed.
