Died on this date - 13th February........Surgeon Lieutenant Roland Augustus HobbsB was born in Hampshire, England in 1885.
Roland Hobbs was appointed to the Medical Staff of the Wycombe Cottage Hospital in 1913. He was appointed as Temporary Surgeon in the Royal Navy on 4th August, 1914.
Dr Hobbs was appointed Medical Officer of the Royal Naval Hospital, Hull.
Dr Roland Augustus Hobbs transferred to Royal Australian Navy on 10th September, 1918 as a Temporary Surgeon on H.M.A.S. Melbourne. He was accepted with the option of transferring to Permanent List.
Surgeon Lieutenant Roland Augustus Hobbs died on 13th February, 1919 at Royal Naval Hospital Haslar, Gosport, Hampshire, England from Pneumonia. He was buried in Highland Road Cemetery, Portsmouth, Hampshire, England & has a Private Headstone. His death is still acknowledged by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.

He married Isabel Marjorie CARGILL on 12th June 1917 in St Saviours Church, Paddington, London
