Constance (Connie) Edna Richards was born in Ipswich QLD, the 8th of 9 children of Ernest Richards and Margaret Ann Ridsdale. Connie married Leslie Bernard Adams on 5 December 1935 in Brisbane QLD, and they lived in Southport, Qld where Les was a Plumber

Connie enlisted on 11 October 1941 in the RAAF where she was Sergeant (Service No: 93881) with 3 Aircraft Depot. Following Discharge on 8 February 1946 Connie and Les lived at Kirra on the Gold Coast QLD until 1954 when they moved to Toowong in Brisbane QLD
