Randolph Marshall Stow was the 2nd of 3 children of Reginald Marshall Stow and Gertrude Mary Sullivan, originally from South Australia. Born in York, Western Australia, Randolph was in Randwick, Sydney, New South Wales when he enlisted in the RAAF on 4 March 1940. He served with 2 Personnel Depot as a Warrant Officer (Service No: 14001) until his Discharge on 12 November 1945.

Younger brother Reginald Isham Stow (Spouse) served with the Australian Army (8 Field Ambulance) as a Sergeant (Service No: NX120465/N2711) in WWII.

In 1940 Randolph married Mary Lesley Austin, and in 1949 married Ellen Coles (nee Davies). Ellen had served in the RAAF (1942 - 1946) as a Corporal (Service No: 100678) with 2 Stores Depot.

Randolph lived and worked in Sydney, New South Wales until his death in 1979
