He was a son of Thomas Condell and Sarah Macartney of Monaghan.
His brother, Charles Henri Condell fell in France whilst serving with the 56th Battalion , Australian Infantry, A.I.F., Service Number 1891.[Died 02/12/1916= Killed in action,]
He is rembered on the war memorial in St. Patrick's Church, Church Square, Monaghan, County Monaghan, Ireland.
