Dakota KN468 of 96 Squadron RAF crashed 2 miles east of Dinawa railway station near Patna in India on the 13th of June 1945
The aircraft was on a daytime equipment transport flight when fire broke out and the port engine ceased to function.
The only survivor was Flying Officer Bruce Douglas Bancroft GM DFC (George Medal / Distinguished Flying Cross) 421635 (Pilot) RAAF (served in the RAAF until February 1946)
