Flight Lieutenant Gordon Lindsay 400720 was killed when his Mustang fighter aircraft A68-80 crashed on approach to Archerfield aerodrome in Queensland in November 1949
On the 22nd of October 1942 he became a Prisoner of War after he was shot down by a Messerschmitt Me-109 and crash-landed his 450SQN Kittyhawk near El Daba
In October 1941 he was flying with 66SQN RAF in the UK
