Flight Lieutenant John Thomas Hannan O22100 was shot down near Kuman-ni (30 miles north of Kaesing / Kaesong) in Korea on the 1st of February 1952 while flying Meteor A77-616 - he was one of the six RAAF pilots from 77 Squadron that were captured during the Korean War
They were held as Prisoners of War in North Korea until released in September 1953 after the armistice. The other five were:
