FISHERMAN FOUND
DEAD ON BOAT
Death Due To Natural Causes On Friday last George Gilbert Nourse, fisherman, aged 46 years, of Port Lincoln, was found dead on the deck of his boat by Mr. J. Mundy, who reported the matter to the police. Dr. C. T. Piper, who examined the body, gave a certificate to the effect that death was due to natural causes.
The police made full enquiries, and their reports were placed before Coroner E. A. Broadbent, J.P., who deemed an inquest unnecessary. The funeral took place on Saturday afternoon, which was attended by members ef the R.S.L., brethren of the R.A.O.B. and members of the Fishermen's Association. Rev. A. H. White conducted the burial service, at the conclusion of which the R.A.O.B. brethren formed a chain around the grave, while the Buffalo service was read by Mr. K. L. Matheson. Pallbearers were: — Messrs. R. Sinclair (R.S.L.),. W. Pitkin (Buffalo Lodge), A. Mundy and J. Bird (Fishermen's Association). The late Mr. Nourse was a returned sailor of World War I, he served 10 years on the H.M.A.S. Australia. He was also a member of Boston R.A.O.B. Lodge. A brother, Mr. W. Nourse, arrived in Port Lincoln oh Tuesday last, and, in company with the president of the R.S.L. (Mr. K. L. Matheson) visited his brother's grave.
