Rodger Newton
Rodger Newton was aircrew Captain of a crew which included Don Howe and Ron Hawthorne when Norman Sheehan was assigned to the crew in September 1943.
Don Howe was first Pilot and Ron Hawthorne was a warrant Officer wireless operator/air gunner .
When Don Howe was promoted to Captain his own crew in October 1943 Norman Sheehan became First Pilot to Rodger Newton.
Don Howe and crew were killed by German Ju 88's on the 29 November 1943
When Rodger Newton became tour expired in December 1943 Norman Sheehan became crew captain and Vince McCauley joined the crew as first Pilot
Ron Hawthorne remained on Norman Sheehan's crew until he became tour expired in July 1944
