Retired from the army as a Warrant Officer Class 1

Bob deployed to Vietnam with 11 Pl D Coy 5 RAR 2 May 1966 as Pl SGT returning to Australia with the Battalion in 1967. During this tour he was awarded the British Empire Medal, a Commendation for Distinguished Service and was Mentioned in Despatches. Bob returned to Vietnam as CSM of A Coy 27 January 1969, completing the tour and returning with 5 RAR in 1970. - Courtesy of Gary Townsend
