Driver Frank Oscar Malmgreen (26162) was born at Melbourne and educated at Perth. In February, 1916, he enlisted at Perth and after a short period of training at Guildford, was sent to Melbourne, leaving there
for England in August, 1916. He completed his training at Larkhill and Sweenwick Camps, and was then drafted to France in 1917. He took part in all the Somme engagements from then until the signing of the Armistice, and in July, 1919, returned home.
